First Impressions: Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai NEXT

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai NEXT – Episode 01

-I Think Something Is Wrong with My Youth-

I love it when you go into a comedy and it’s all fresh and unique and you don’t have the chance to stop laughing before the next joke cracks you up even more.

That’s exactly what BTSN doesn’t do. But you know, so what if it isn’t an amazing comedy. It still has it’s funny moments, and they are pretty fresh. The freshest, in fact. They don’t make me laugh, they make me smile, they make me think, “That was pretty smart”. That, is still as good of a comedy, as something that gets you hysterical. Like really, I do enjoy this show, even though there’s no story. Well there is, or was, I vaguely remember the end of last season having some sort of actual storyline between Mr. Typical Boring Protagonist or whatever his name was, and Miss Butch Voice something. Did it end on them remembering each other from the past or am I thinking of something else? If anyone knows be sure to tell.. LOL who am I kidding, nobody watches this. Or at least not for the story.

On the brighter side of Boku land, Sena is not as annoying as before. Believe it or not, her boobs have grown. That makes her less annoying. She talks less, and they fill up more of the screen. Even though this episode was pretty much almost dedicated to her she still managed to speak less than usual. Her dad is much more interesting than her though. Let’s talk about tertiary characters because clearly this show has no hope with it’s disgusting cast. Forgot his name, but who cares? Nobody cares. Not sure if him wanting to shower with whats-his-face is because he’s just slightly homosexual or if it’s just going to be a running joke. It’s possibly both but I’m going to go with the latter and add on that it’s probably because he’s attempting to protect him and look out for him as a favour to his dad, but has no idea how to go about it. He does pretty much force him to stay at his & Sena’s house that night, but to my disappointment there weren’t really any intimate moments. Which is.. weird. I mean, obviously whats-his-face is the typical protagonist who is NEVER going to make a move because he’s, well, boring. But seriously he’s in a girls room. Just him and the girl. The girl is attractive, has large boobs, and clearly has some sort of crush on him. But obviously, she’s also a complete imbecile and, like the majority of anime girls, has no idea how to deal with guys when it comes down to relationships. So nothing happens, nothing at all. Well except for the maid giving him some sexual related object which results in Sena being so curious that they end up face-to-boob. Yeah it’s all pretty typical but I enjoy the humour and sketches etcetera. I honestly can’t deny that I have high hopes for this. It’s got it all; comedy, boobs, story. What else is there?
