Hurry Up! The Pokémon Gulf Coast Relief Corps!!
In typical Pokemon fashion, walking from A to B is clearly way too much to ask of them, as they stop off and meet a rescue squad of Pokemon and a trainer who fight fires and the like. However, N has a pretty serious issue with the way that they’re being used to protect humans.
I don’t disagree with the idea of this episode, and I don’t disagree with what it tried to do. There’s no problem whatsoever with a filler episode here and there, and it’s even better if it has something to put across. The only problem is that I don’t know if they took the right attitude to put N’s message across in this episode, it almost seemed a little like they were trying too hard to paint N as the villain, or the person with the “wrong” viewpoint.
That’s what made the N from the game’s good, the way that he wasn’t wrong, but he wasn’t right, either…and the game didn’t hesitate to show that. It put the extra effort in to redeem him in the later part, but it was ultimately pretty annoying to see them throw the very basic concepts of N thrown out the window.
