Spring 2013 – Who’s Blogging What? And a word on delays

Heya, everyone! Just so you all know, several reviews and things will be heavily delayed and might be weeks or so late, since it’s a pretty hectic time of the year for the blog. We’ve swapped staff members, as Liam trades places with the returning Mimi, Dusk retires for a season so she can catch up with college work, and we all still have no idea what will be happening in our other sections just yet. Anyway…to get to the subject.

Alex will be blogging Devil Survivor 2 and Railgun S, and possibly Attack on Titan, depending on how Doofus finds it.

Mimi will be returning to cover what’s left of Chihayafuru S2 and the new Suisei no Gargantia.

Doofus will be doing whatever Doofus wants, which is  Hunter x Hunter and quite possibly Attack on Titan, depending on how he feels about it. He’ll also do his manga whenever he does that.

Kryn is taking Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai 2 and Hataraku Maou-sama! (A RomCom! Woo!)

Justin will take Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199

Lucy will take Karneval

What are you all watching? Is there anything that we’re missing out on? Let us know in the comments.

MeepingAnime Welcomes a new member!

Title basically says it all, in preparation for the upcoming Spring season (which looks EPIC, by the way), we recruited an additional writer by the name of Lucy. Lucy’s going to start off covering Kyo-Ani’s Tamako Market, and she’ll also do a game review from time to time ^^

Seasonal picks finally up^^

After many hours of work, we finally have picked, written our opinions on and put together the best titles and characters of this season (as well as the worst). You can see them by going to the respective page in the drop-down menu or simply by clicking here.

Feel free to leave comments and state your opinion on our choices as well. We appreciate and will do the best to answer^^

Winter 2013: Who’s Blogging What?

It’s been quite a quiet past season, actually. A lot of the writers ended up taking breaks, but we’re going to say that a new year is a new start, and we’re showing this with our lovely designed icons and brand new star rating on all our future reviews, and our Seasonal Picks of Fall 2012 will be up within the next day or two, so look forward to comparing your opinions with ours!

As for the blogging schedule, nothing has actually changed very much. Thanks to the terrible line-up of shows that are coming in this upcoming season, it doesn’t appear that we’ll be very busy, with all the authors trying to keep existing shows where it’s possible.

Alex is still covering Magi and Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo, with Pokemon: Best Wishes 2! being covered every so often, thanks to the upcoming Episode N restoring my faith in the writers.

Mimi is going to cover either Shin Sekai Yori or Chihayafuru Season 2, but due to her current absence  it’s currently unknown which one she’ll pick.

Dusk is taking over noitaminA, covering Pyscho-Pass as usual with the added Robotics;Notes filling up all of her time.

Doofus is continuing to cover Hunter x Hunter, and with the added manga section going on, he’ll have spotted coverage of Gintama / Kintama when it suits him.

Justin is going to watch Maoyuu Maou Yuusha and cover it, simply for the boobs. Typical male… Also something about the story.

Liam is also struggling to pick something out the really bad lineup, but we all expect him to keep Zetsuen no Tempest and Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure.

Kryn, the returning writer, will be taking Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai NEXT and Sasami-san@Ganbaranai, so at least we’ll have a little bit of Winter 2013 goodness and creativity going around…

The Manga Corner is Open

Doofus: Hey peeps, you know what? It’s time to get the Manga section of the blog underway! Let’s do this!

Everybody was so excited.

Everybody was so excited.

To be totally honest, I’m wasn’t even sure what kind of junk will go on here. Still kinda iffy on it mostly, but there are basically two things in store thus far.

1) A sort of weekly/biweekly/triweekly look at a variety of manga. Mainly in the interest of potentially sparking some interest in some the manga I’ve come across. I’ll try to hit a good amount of different kinds stuff, but generally the only rule for what’ll appear here is if I’m interested in writing about it or not. Who know, could take a deeper look at at certain topics as well, if I’m not feelin’ all that lazy at the moment.

Thinking about it, might as well name it the Manga Corner.

There. Done.

2) If anybody’s a fan of Shingeki no Kyojin, you’re in luck, since I’ll picking that up as a manga I’ll talk about in the same way we do anime here. In fact, the first Manga Corner, that’ll be available in just a bit, will talk about it in a vague recommendation-y style way! It’s really not that in-depth at all!

Other stuff might might pop later too.

Maybe not though.

That’s all I’ve got for now, so happy holidays everybody, hope ya have a great time. (⊙‿⊙✿)

Merry Christmas!

Delays and Seasonal Preview!

Heya all, Alex here! The blog’s been a lately quiet lately with the delays from some authors around, but at the same time, we’re planning a few interesting features.

  • Firstly, there’s a seasonal preview now ready, listing all of the confirmed shows for next season…and remarkably, nothing stands out.
  • Secondly, the team will be changing around a little bit. If you’re interested in writing on the blog or becoming a part of it, message “meepinganime @ hotmail . com”
  • Thirdly, an awards show for the best of season stuff should be emerging soon, so look forward to it!
  • Finally, the manga section, after weeks of perfectionism from Doofus’s side should be ready to be released relatively soon, so look forward to that too.

Like always, if you have a feature you want to see or a show you want to cover, drop any of us an email or a comment and we’ll happily reply to you.
