-insert creative opening line here-

My first anime was technically Maya the Bee (1975), as told by my parents. But the first one I can actually remember  is Totoro (1988), which came out the year I was born. Heck, even my #1 favorite anime, Legend of the Galactic Heroes, came out that year. How awesome is that? I’ve had a huge passion for anime ever since childhood, going down the typical American route: Toonami -> Adult Swim – > Anime Unleashed -> Internet.

I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. My eyes are now set on graduate school to start building a professional career. It should come as no surprise that I like my anime entwined with psychological concepts, such as Satoshi Kon’s works and Naoki Urasawa’s Monster.

My relationship with Alex is a little complicated. We’re best friends, master (him) and slave (me), mad scientist and assistant… We’re a lot of things. ^.^! I hope it’s just as fun for you to read our blog as it is for us share our opinions.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION. lololol.

Lucy

Hello there! I’m Lucy, a writer for Meeping Anime, also a huge lover of anything anime. I started writing for the blog in February 2013, and since then I’ve reviewed the following series: Tamako Market, Karneval, Suisei no Gargantia, Free!, Kyoukai no Kanata, Super Sonico the Animation and Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai: Ren! From that list, I suppose you can see I’m a big fan of Kyo-Ani… Actually, my favourite anime of all time is Hyouka: A wonderful slice-of-life series adapted by Kyo-Ani about the adventures of quirky characters in a school club, with the most gorgeous animation I have ever seen. Other series I love are Steins;Gate, Mawaru Penguindrum and Ano Hana. I don’t really stick to a main kind of genre when it comes to anime; I will really watch anything that piques my interest. Some of my favourite characters from anime include Chitanda Eru (Hyouka), Oreki Houtarou (Hyouka), Anjou Naruko (Ano Hana) and Makise Kurisu (Steins;Gate).

Besides my love of anime, I also enjoy writing too, so being able to write for Meeping Anime is really enjoyable for me, and I do intend to keep posting for the blog as long as I can. However, due to the fact I’ve been incredibly busy with problems that have arose in real life and school and etc, I haven’t really been active on the blog much anymore, so I apologize for my inactivity: I do promise to try writing whenever I can.

If you have any questions, then feel free to ask. I always welcome constructive criticism too.
